This album is the brainchild of Mykel Tremaine Beaton. He wrote all songs on guitar, with vocals and brought them to John and Stew so they could interpret and put down a solid rhythmic foundation beneath what Tre had so articulately crafted. The result is a progressive funk rock post punk-ish sound that is steeped in many great bands of our time.

Halema'uma'u was formed in 2008 by Mykel (Guitar/Vox), John (Bass) and Stewart (Drums), who were all groomed in the early 90's indie scene and earned their grit playing in local DIY bands around Arizona.
